Can I start right away? What are the “diversifiers”?
Everybody should have the same amount of time to compete. That’s why we will publish three diversifiers at the start of the jam. The concepts must be visibly connected to at least one of the three, otherwise the project can’t enter as a finalist. Examples for diversifiers could be “multiplayer” or “bus before car”.
What happens if we win?
You will be notified after Will Farelly announces the winners on November 4 at 14.30. Then your team enters the second phase of the challenge, where the five finalists will have to develop a prototype of their concept until January 11, 2016. The jury will select three winning projects to be presented to an international audience of experts at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 22, 2016. They will receive € 10.000, € 7.500 and € 2.500 in prize money respectively, while the other two teams get € 1.000 as an acknowledgement for their production time.
We want to upload a prototype!
Although it is highly encouraged to test your ideas with prototypes, we can’t accept playable entries into the contest because of time constraints of the jury. However, you are welcome to provide a link to a short (30-60 sec.) video trailer in your upload.
Where can I get information and research material on “smart mobility”?
The Ford Motor Company has a variety of resources available for you:

What do I need to send in? And where do I upload our concept?
All the necessary information can be found on the Upload Page.
When will the winners be announced?
Will Farrelly will announce the finalists of the Ford Smart Mobility Challenge during the Clash of Realities Conference at 2.30 PM, November 4. All finalists will be notified via email shortly after.
